about Wendy
i have trained in so many different modalities… over 30 years ago i began using counselling and NLP… listening to people’s voices…their words… to help them educe old and buried emotional pain.. but then i took this deeper and began to explore how this connected to energy and to the physical body…
i realised that whenever there was an effect.. there was always a cause.. a starting point to that pattern or program… a time when it was installed….and if we could find the key to unlock it… we could edit that old pattern….
when i discovered EFT everything fell into place… because with the tapping the body opened and started to interact in an amazing way….producing the most remarkable results…
about pain whispering
during my work as a therapist I had come to realise that one way that our bodies communicate with us can be pain... it sends us messages but we rarely understand it’s language… in a pain whispering session instead of trying to suppress or silence those messages... we respectfully try to understand what our bodies are trying to tell us...
this is not a typical western medicine approach... so it may seem strange at first… in many ways it feels closer to more eastern ways of dealing with health issues ... more holistic... using the energy of the body and more focussed on the whole system not just chemical or surgical intervention..
most people are surprised when they discover that simply tapping gently on the side of the hand... while speaking the right words... can help the body listen to us... respond... and allows changes to occur...
for over thirty years EFT tapping has been studied and found to be effective for chronic pain, tension, and physical discomfort because it helps to address underlying emotional factors… the words we use often stay in the thinking mind... circling... analysing... never quite landing... but when we tap gently... something shifts... the words travel deeper...
pain whispering takes EFT a step further... it focusses on one tapping point and uses different language patterns... instead of looking to release stuck emotions that may be causing blockages … we talk straight into the body.. this way we can speak directly to the source of the pain...
and when your body finally feels heard... it can begin to let go and make new choices...
what are the steps of a session?
these are the gentle steps of a 90 minute pain whispering session -
take a simple medical history - and decide which symptom needs most attention
assess and calibrate pain levels plus any restrictions in movement at the start of the session - so change can be monitored and celebrated
discuss and explore possible root causes - to find the possible language keys that will unlock and release the pain (it is common for pain levels to begin to drop at this point as the body starts to feel ‘heard’)
do at least 4 short rounds of simple tapping - where the client repeats what the facilitator says … while they both tap on their own hands - see more information on the ‘session’ page
regularly assess changes in pain levels as they reduce
book new appointment if needed
